What duct sanitizing is, and when it makes sense
Cleaning removes the dust and debris sitting in your ducts. Sanitizing is an extra step that follows the cleaning, aimed at the surfaces inside the system. Many customers ask for it when a home has a musty smell, when the ducts have not been touched in years, or when they simply want a fresh start after a move, a renovation or a long stretch of dust blowing out of the vents.
At Eco Vent Cleaning we use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning methods, so the work is a good fit for households with children and pets. At your estimate we will walk you through what we plan to do in your system and what it will cost, so there are no surprises later.
Sanitizing is not the same as mold remediation. If we find signs of mold in your ducts, we will tell you and explain the next step. Mold remediation in ducts is a separate service we also offer.
We founded the company in 2021, and it is owned by Tomer Amedi. We work out of 1444 N Poinsettia Pl in Los Angeles, and we handle both residential and commercial duct work.

Duct sanitizing questions
What is the difference between duct sanitizing and duct cleaning?
Cleaning removes dust and debris from inside the ducts. Sanitizing is an added step that treats the duct surfaces after they have been cleaned. We use eco-friendly, non-toxic methods for both, and we will explain what is included at your estimate.
How much does duct sanitizing cost?
We use upfront, flat-rate pricing. After a free, no-pressure estimate, you will know the price before any work begins, with no hidden fees. The final price depends on your system, so call (213) 658-2904 to get yours.
Is air duct cleaning and sanitizing worth it?
It depends on your home. If you notice a lot of dust around the house, dust blowing out of the vents, or ducts that have not been cleaned in a long time, it is worth having a technician take a look. We will give you an honest recommendation, and you are never obligated to go ahead after the estimate.
What do musty smells or dust blowing out of my vents mean?
Dust blowing from the vents usually points to buildup inside the ducts. A musty smell can come from several sources, including moisture or mold. We can inspect your system, tell you what we find and recommend sanitizing, cleaning or mold remediation as needed.
Should I sanitize my ducts after wildfire smoke and ash?
After smoke and ash events in Los Angeles, fine particles can find their way into a home and settle in the ductwork. If you are concerned, call us and we can look at your system and talk through your options.
What if you find mold in my ducts?
We will show you what we found and explain your options. Sanitizing is not a replacement for mold remediation, so if mold is present we will recommend our mold remediation in ducts service and give you the price upfront.
Do you sanitize ducts in businesses as well as homes?
Yes. We do both residential and commercial air duct work. Call us with the size and type of your building and we will arrange an estimate.
